June 1, 2009

Where have we been? Not far. Just not in front of the computer blogging. May flew by in a blew. In some ways I hope June and July pass quickly so that it does not feel like I am pregnant all summer. But I do love this time of year and hope to savor as much of it as possible no matter how large I become. I am 30 weeks along. Hooray! The baby continues to kick and move and stretch. I will try to ask Jesse to take a pic of me this week. I never think of it when he is home.

We have been outside as much as the weather allows. With our walks to the farm. Planting and caring for the garden. It is so fun to see our plants popping up. What will survive, we don't know. Dassah loves to pick anything weed or plant. So, our garden is in danger this year. We planted spinach, romaine, carrots, beets, radishes, peppers(may varieties), grape tomatoes and several other varieties, corn, green onions, cantelope, strawberries, watermelon, pumpkins, acorn squash, and there might be more, but that is all I can think of right now. We also planted a few flowers in pots and some sunflowers out by the bigger garden. The girls love to water. As evidenced by the photos above.

They both have enjoyed flying the kite this spring. We have had some days with just the right amount of wind to keep it up without difficulty.

Hadassah has adopted our owl from the garden. She does not wish for it to get wet when we water and in the pick above she plays with it as a baby. Soon she will have a real baby to help with.

We celebrated 7 years of marriage! What a blessing Jesse is. I just can't imagine life without him. Thank you, Lord, for my hubby. We spent part of our annivesrary weekend together without the girls. I was suppose to work on the 25th, but ended up being all call due to a low count. So, we hung out as a family.

Friends Liz, Audrey, and Tate came for a visit last week. So kind of them. And they brought lunch. The girls were in awe of Audrey and were so precious holding her. Grace told me when our baby is born she wants to play with the baby all day long and wants he/she to stay for 5 nights. I told her the baby was going to be staying with us all of the time, not just for a visit. And she thought that was okay. (Whenever we go anywhere, she asks if we are going to stay for 5 nights, so that must be the magic number.)

The girls were invited to Maya's birthday party this past Saturday and enjoyed an outdoor Dora adventure with dinner outside on an open fire pit. And princess dress up time. It was cute.

Well, that is all the time I have this afternoon. I am going to make hamburgers for supper and try a little different twist. I will let you know how they turn out....
