Playful Learning!

Okay, this is the last post from me for today, I think.  I was just sent this link and I haven't had much time to look through her site, but what I found so far was lots of fun.  Can't wait to see what the littles think:)

Check it out:

Play Dough

Last week the weather turned cooler for a spell.  And so we decided to make some play dough.  For two in a row they could not get enough of creating and shaping and mashing.   So, it is at the girls' request with most photos taken by them that I have an array of play dough photos to share with you today!

Time

Time never stands still, does it?
Seems never enough hours in the day.
So many little moments.
Precious.
Flitting by.

I am 19 weeks already!  Almost to my halfway mark.  I am so thankful that last week my nausea ceased.  I do not have much of an appetite as Jesse can attest to, but my stomach has quieted down.  Today I even started some deep fall cleaning.  So much changes in a week.  Last week I barely looked like I was pregnant and all of the sudden...wow...that baby had a major growth spurt because I look like a completely different person. I will ask Jesse to take a photo to show off my little baby bump:)

Zephaniah 3:17

"The Lord your God is in your midst,
a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing."

Food For Thought

Hadassah:  "Is there protein in ice cream?"

Lemonade Stand

A bit windy and even rainy when we set up.

Much to the delight of the littles they set up a lemonade stand last Saturday.
It was a balmy October afternoon with the high being 80 if I recall correctly.
Grace made the signs.
She wanted the lemonade to be free.
We made fresh raspberry lemonade.
Since we live next to the orchard and pumpkin patch the weekends in the fall are a good time for business.
They all had a blast waving down customers and shouting out free lemonade.
Even Gabe, "Fee emonade!"
So precious.

By the time the lemonade ran out they had made a few tips
and were quite pleased with their afternoon adventure.

This makes me laugh...

...because my little brother, Trav, used to pull me around in our red wagon when we were young.  Only, Trav hooked up the wagon to his bike and the wagon was a covered wagon(of sorts) and we were headed for the Oregon trail.

Why is the little guy doing all the work?

Through It All

I've had many tears and sorrows
I've had questions for tomorrow
There've been times I didn't know right from wrong
But in every situation
God gave blessed consolation
That my trials only come to make me strong

I've been a lot of places
And I've seen so many faces
But there've been times I've felt so all alone
But in that lonely hour
In that precious, lonely hour
Jesus let me know I was His own
Through it all
Through it all
I've learned to trust in Jesus
I've learned to trust in God
Through it all
Through it all
I've learned to depend upon His Word

So I thank God for the mountains
And I thank Him for the valleys
I thank Him for the storms He's brought me through
Cause if I never had a problem
I wouldn't know that He could solve them
I wouldn't know what faith in God could do

Through it all
Through it all
I've learned to trust in Jesus
I've learned to trust in God
Through it all
Through it all
I've learned to depend upon His Word
Yes, I've learned to depend upon His Word
I've learned to depend upon His Word

A favorite song of my Grandma Ada...remembering her and singing this song this morning.

Time To Snuggle Up and Read

Just stumbled across this link.  If you are looking for some book ideas she has Children Book Mondays that have been delightful to skim through this afternoon.  Spent a little time requesting books from the library....
