Wedding weekend

This past weekend we went to Sioux Falls.

Jesse's cousin, Brooke, got married.

Here is a pic of the littles with Grandpa and Grandma at the reception.

A little fuzzy, but here is one of us, too.

A Gift

I am so thankful for the example that my little ones show me.  Sometimes when least expected they remind me to be selfless.  For Valentine's Day the children each received a card and a $5 bill from their grandparents.  They opened up their cards and Hadassah said that she was going to give all her money to God in the offering at church and she did that very day.  Gabe said he wanted to buy a police car with his money.  Grace said she did not want to spend hers right away so she was going to put it in her piggy bank.  I thought about offering to give Hadassah 5 $1's so that she could give some and spend/save some of her gift, but then I thought...Jesus wants me to give Him all of me.  If Dassah wants to give Jesus a gift why should I try to change what she wants to give.  May I be more like a child in my faith and my giving.

11 months this week

Asher found the perfect place to crawl into tonight.

I was trying to organize Gabe's dresser after he had put his clothes away.

Asher pulled all the clothes off this shelf and climbed right in.

He knows a good cubby when he sees one.

Same goes for laundry baskets.

He will pull clothes out left and right so he can make a spot for himself to climb in.

So, I had to take a break and get a pic of our little man.

This one got lost in the draft section...

 The littles wanted pancakes for our Valentine supper.

Grace made the whipped cream and they chose fun toppings

like berries, chocolate chips, coconut...

lots of yumminess.

Dinner is so much more fun when you can create.

Today was a day in the kitchen for me.

Made a few favorites for everyone...

including Jesse's caramelita favorite.

 Praying.

Don't you just want to give him a great big kiss?

We promised love for life...forever man and wife...faithful...and true...our love will hold together...may we grow old together...forever love

Last weekend we enjoyed a relaxing and most wonderful time at Grand View Lodge.

(we stayed in a cabin by the the lodge with a creek running by outside the window)

Just the two of us.

So thankful for this man.

Yes, we both look like we are staring at the camera because we are.

A little glitter and a lot of fun!

 The kids love making homemade play dough and this time we dressed up with glitter!

They could play with this stuff for hours.

 Something new.

Lava rocks.

Painting with crayons on rocks warmed up in the oven.

They loved it and it was a great way to use up some of 

those broken crayons that are tough to color with.

Gabe made this garage today...

And where was Asher during this time...

10 months

It has been a busy winter and I have not had time to post too many photos.

Asher is now 10 months old.

The girls keep reminding me that he will turn one year old soon.

He loves unloading the laundry from the basket and climbing inside.

Also, loves to crawl through anything that resembles a tunnel.

He is standing on his owning and pushing chairs around, but no walking on his own yet.

Sleeping through the night.

Busy during the day trying to keep up with his siblings.

So enjoying him.
