Family Adventure Day

The Guys

Hadassah found this and wanted a photo of it.

Dassah trying to take a pic of us.

Where are you going?

The Girls

We all had fun watching this huge ship come in.  It was 1000 feet long.  We are reading about Noah this week and this one was a little over twice the length of the Ark Noah built.  A great visual for the girls.

Flowers...Every Day A New Bouquet

And Gabe says, "I, too! I, too!"

Backtracking

We spent a wonderful and relaxing weekend at a friends' cabin.  Splashing in the water.  Swinging in the hammock.  Eating rhubarb pie for lunch.  Pontoon rides.  Some great time hanging out as a family.

This was back in August.  I am rather behind in posting photos.  Please be patient as I try to catch up a little bit.  We also spent an extended weekend in Beaver Creek visiting Jesse's parents and relatives.  I forgot my camera that weekend, so no photos from me, but Grandma T. will be sending some soon and I will add those here.

14 Weeks

Thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump

So soft, so quick, yet so real.  Today we heard our baby's heartbeat for the first time.  Although I have been daily reminded of the reality of this pregnancy with my typical "all day morning sickness" and fatigue for the past months it is so sweet to hear the little heart of this blessing beating.  Jesse and the littles went to the appointment with me and so that made it even sweeter.

Words

Gabe's new word is "bumma" (bummer).  It is so adorable to hear him say it.

Last Night:

Grace:  "Will you please be quiet?  I am getting tired."

Hadassah:  "I have so many words left inside me, I just have to use them up, Grace."

Grace:  "Well, can you talk quieter, then?"

Hadassah:  "I am talking as quiet as I can."

Brownies!

A recipe worth passing along.
A friend sent this to me and these are super delicious, especially with some fresh raspberries as we have been blessed to pick this fall.

Of course, I had to make a couple of changes to make it my own.
I use 1/2 cup of coconut oil, 1 1/4 cup sucanat (to replace white sugar), and I use 2 cups of whole wheat flour.

Enjoy!

Thanks, Liz, for sharing!

Oh, I have never had the time to make the frosting, but my dear friend says it is so worth it.  Maybe the next pan will get frosting in top.
