6 months old

 Here is our little man, Asher Obadiah.

He is 6 months old today!
19 pounds, 8 ounces.
27 inches long.

He smiles, 

he giggles, 

he snuggles,

he sleeps, 

he pulls himself all over the place, 

and pushes up on his hands and feet, 

but cannot get the crawling figured out quite yet.

He just got in his second bottom tooth yesterday.

Here he is showing us a tooth.

 Our first egg from our own chickens.

We ate it the next morning in our oatmeal bake.

Gabe's current favorite food...he asks me for oatmeal bake for every meal.

 Dassah's baby carrier creation.

Started studying botany last week..

a lesson in taxonomy with shoes.

They loved it!

Plus I was able to weed out shoes that no longer fit and tidy up the shoe basket.

I asked Gabe why he would not smile and he said he did not want his photo by the piano, but with him hammering instead....

but it keeps coming in sideways so you will need to tilt your head for this one.

 Asher Obadiah

Hadassah reminded me that today was Asher's very first back to school and he needed his own photo.

 Sneaking a taste.

 A unanimous request to make chocolate chip cookies on our first day of school.

Tried to get all 4 before they went out to play, but Asher rolled over right as I was trying to take.

We did all subjects together today.

Easing in to a new year.

We all had fun, including this Momma.

I will post what we are learning this year and some

favorite books as the year progresses.

Afternoon spent walking to orchard.

Eating caramel apples.

Playing in kiddie pool and running through sprinkler.

Reading Little House on The Prairie

(we read through the series 2 years ago and Grace requested it again so we started in August)

Picking vegetables.

Soaking up as much sun as we possibly can...

an all time favorite.

Time for supper...

garden pizzas and homemade ice cream sandwhiches.
