Jesse at Work

A few photos from the house Jesse has been building for my parents.
So excited for my dad and mom as they begin to see their plans take shape.
So proud of my husband for his hard work and craftsmanship.
So thankful to the Lord for the gifts and talents that He has given to Jesse to be able to build.

Grace Turns 7

 July 5, 2012
Can't believe how quickly the years go by.

Parfait birthday cones with coconut cake, ice cream, and fruit layers.

Trying out some new projects from Papa and Nana.
(And Gabe trying to sneak a peach.  See his little hand?)
A cake from Nana for the birthday girl.
Grace is 7 years old.

We had a beautiful day celebrating Grace's birthday!
A video from Daddy since he was working today.
Reading with Mom.
We spent the afternoon at the pool with friends
(oops I forgot to take pictures).
So much fun!

Special pancake dinner per her request.
With lots of fresh fruit!

Oh what a day!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

Independence Day is the birthday of the United States of America and is celebrated on the Fourth of July each year. Independence Day is the anniversary of the day on which the Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776.

John Adams, one of the founders of our new nation, said, "I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward for evermore." Independence Day was first celebrated in Philadelphia on July 8, 1776.

In 1941, Congress declared July 4 a legal public holiday.
