Praising, Praying, and Waiting

Praising...

...the Lord that my brother and his family are safe. Their home was struck by lightening while they were home this week. The upper level has fire, smoke, and water damage. They will need to find temporary housing for approximately 3 months while their home is being repaired.

Praying...

...for my mom as she meets with her oncologist next week to determine a plan of treatment for her newly diagnosed ovarian and endometrial cancers. Praying that the Lord would protect her and guide her and for wisdom in decision making.

Waiting...

...for the arrival of our newest addition. I have been having a lot of Braxton hicks for the last 2 days, but nothing regular, yet. Just a lot of discomfort. We will keep you all posted.

You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
Trust in the Lord forever,
for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.
Isaiah 26:3-4

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Bedtime

After family devotions the girls give hugs and kisses and starting chanting, "upside down time" where Jesse proceeds to carry them into their room upside down. What is he going to do when there is one more?

Guess Who Turned 4 Today?

Nana and Papa and The Cousins

Looking pretty excited about that cake.

Say "monkeys"!

Had to include this expression of Dassah.

Can't get Grace out of the water this summer. She is turning into a fish.

Blowing out her candles at the park.

Hadassah and Grace admiring the treats.

The girls with Grandpa and Grandma T.

Our little Gracie is now 4 years old. She has been having fun celebrating with family over the last couple of weeks. First with the cousins and my side of the family and then on the 4th with Jesse's family. Today, on her birthday she got to play in the kiddie pool with Dassah and she chose salmon and watermelon as her birthday meal. We spent the 4th of July at the lake and had a picnic. Grace requested cheesecake with chocolate and strawberries on top and so I made that request into cupcakes which she helped decorate. Father's Day we spent with my family and then again the last weekend of June my parents were watching "the boys" while Trav and Alicia went to CA for their anniversary. The girls have enjoyed so much time with their cousins.

Happy Birthday, Grace!
We love you!
