The Photo

Okay, so I remembered to have Jesse take a picture of me last week, but didn't get it posted while I was 20 weeks. But better late than never, right? I feel like I got really big this week, but now that I look at the pic maybe not so much. Anyway, the girls are tucked in bed after an evening of "jump on Daddy" and then Mommy reading stories. Today was a lazy afternoon at home which was just what we needed after a busy week last week. I am still hopeful for spring, but there are rumors going about of snow. No more to write tonight.

20 Weeks!

We have made it to the half way mark! Hooray! This morning I had another ultrasound. The baby looks good and is growing. 13 ounces. Isn't that incredible? The little one was kicking and moving all over the place, which is what I have been telling people. I started feeling the kicks at 15 weeks this time, much earlier than previous. It is fun when the baby is so active. Hopefully that means at night he/she is sleeping. More good news. The subchorionic hemorrhage is almost gone, according to the tech. Still waiting on the official report. We are so thankful for this news and ask for continued prayers for complete healing. It was tough to get pics this time she said b/c the baby was so active, but we have some really good ones from the other ultrasounds. And, yes, we have stayed strong and will not find out what we are having. No guesses, yet, from us. I was teasing Jesse the other day that perhaps it is a boy since I have felt so miserable, more so than the girls. And he seemed excited at the thought, but in the end we pray for a healthy baby and wait for the surprise. I was going to have Jesse take a pic of me this morning, but I forgot, so that will have a to wait. My coworkers say I look like I ate a big meal. I am in the comfy sweatpant stage, although I have pulled out my maternity bin and tried out a few things. The nausea is fleeting and finally this week I feel like I have more energy. I hope it lasts. We talked about names last night. Nothing concrete, so suggestions are welcome.

I just cleaned the entry, pulling out the winter stuff to wash and hopefully I will not need to drag it out again. I am ready for spring and ready to be done with the snow. It has been raining and raining and raining. Although it certainly limits outdoor time I much prefer it to the below zero cold. This afternoon, cleaning out too small clothes for the girls and weaning out the winter stuff. At the rate I am going by next week they have to wear shorts and tanks. It was fun to see that I am all set for Hadassah from Grace's stash and thanks to all kinds of end of the year clearance last year, Grace should be set, too. She just needs some sandals.

Well, time to get back to spring cleaning.

Hadassah Turns Two!

My Dassah Baby is two today! A precious milestone. She is such a stream of sunlight in my life. And a mischevious little lady. She talks and talks to anyone and everyone who will listen. She loves to read stories, especially about Jonah and Noah. All she wants to do this week is blow bubbles, blow bubbles, and more bubbles. She and Gracie are good buddies and run about the house dressed and princesses and ballerinas. She is a great eater and loves dips, especially ketchup. She is always asking me for smoothies and date balls. We are in the midst of potty training and she is taking to it like a pro, anything to keep up with her big sister. Dassah has started telling people that we are going to have a baby and she thinks it will be a brother. Her sister begs to differ and Grace is confident that we are having another girl and her name will be Alyssa or Tabitha(the 2 girls who babysit for our little ones sometimes). Hadassah loves to go for walks and is so excited that we can walk outside now. She is growing up too quickly and so I am trying to soak up each moment. Like the other day, when she woke up after a short nap and I got and we laid down on the couch and she fell back to sleep in my arms. What a blessing you are Hadassah. I love you! Happy Birthday!

56 degrees

The view out our front window.

It is about 1-2 inches right here.
We had to walk through the puddle/river to go for a walk.

The girl checking out the yard, or lack there of.

A beautiful sunny day and with that outdoor fun. The girls and I soaked up the sun and the fun until 2 and now they are down for naps and hopefully round 2 this afternoon before supper. Is is suppose to reach 60 degrees. Right now ours says 56 and I am not complaining. Only last Wednesday it something like 12 below. Along with a quick warm up comes the melting snow across the road from the farm. So, our yard has to hold all our melted snow, plus whatever comes across the road. We are praying that the ground begins to soften soon so we don't get water all the way up to our house. The girls are enjoying it, though. It felt somewhat like beachfront property this afternoon. I sat in the sun while the girls hauled buckets of water from the yard up to dump in their other buckets and make soup with(don't worry, we had grilled cheese for lunch). We were blowing bubbles and drawing with chalk. Ohhh.... thank you for a spring day, Lord.

It's my birthday...

The day is drawing to a close. Thanks for all the birthday wishes. It was a lovely day. Here are a couple of pics. Sorry not a good view of my belly, but just in case you were wondering my little one is starting to get bigger and I just can't hide it anymore. I am 19 weeks today. I will have to send my standard 20 weeks photo, but you might have to remind me.

Time to go cuddle with my hubby.

Zero

Oh, by the way, Shelly, I am looking forward to your kind of weather. It is still zero degrees here this morning. I think it was down to -12 last night. I looked at your blog and I am daydreaming of pear blossoms and spring.

Training Pants

"Question?" (as Dassah would say)

Well, Hadassah has decided that she would like to go potty like a big girl(I was going to wait until warmer weather and such, but no). She has been going 1-2 times a day in the toilet. I am looking for some training pants for her that aren't going to put a dent in our budget. I used a combo of diapers/pull-ups/Gerber training pants for Grace. I would like to skip the pull-ups this time around and I was wondering if anyone knew of a training pant like Gerber, but just a tad bit more padding? Please sent me an e-mail soon if you have suggestions as I am going to try to find some for her this weekend. Thanks.

Spring Break At Our House

The girls broke out their swimsuits yesterday and played all morning in them. First they were going to the beach and bringing out towels and then they were headed off to the swimming pool(my bed). Grace asked me if I get to sleep in the swimming pool at night(I guess so, who knew?). Here are a few pics of them. Can you guess which one Grace is trying to make a silly face in?

Let's just say they have a little spring fever. Which reminds me, don't forget to set your clocks ahead this week or you might be late for church.
